Lovinsky Pierre-Antoine, internationally respected Haitian human rights activist, was kidnapped in Haiti on 12th August, 2007. He is a grassroots organizer, beloved of his family, colleagues and community, and a leading advocate of the poor, including street children, teenage mothers and victims of torture. Despite growing international pressure for Lovinsky’s return, there has been a wall of silence from governments with influence over what happens in Haiti, and from the UN.
